Question by Little Fleurette: How to make a poster….?
I need tips for making “MOVIE posters” (for movies I make) in Photoshop… the rules of making them, how to do them in the right way to look like a professional work. Anything you can give tutorials, tips, sites…. anything can do

I don’t have any concrete advice for you, but I have studied movie posters a bit, and depending on the genre of film the layout tends to follow a set theme – celebrity image on left, text on right etc. etc. The comic book adaptation movies all seem to have a figure in the centre and the text at the bottom. Try to get some research gathered on the particular type of poster you’re interested in and related films – mainly for layout purposes 🙂

also depends on the type/intended message of poster – the teaser ones are often more obscure, and my favorite indie movie posters often have no celebrity picture, just artwork and unconventionally placed type. Good luck!
