Question by KPisahottie: How was 1960s movie technology different from movie technology now?
I’m doing a project and I’m wondering how they made movies in the 60s vs. how they make them now. I would LOVE if you could give me some good information about this and maybe just some extra important things I should know or that I should put into my project.
Thanks!

They were still using rear-screen projection to give the impression that the car was really driving down the road (green screen allows for a more immersive technology and looks seamless)
Also, special effects were both time-consuming and laborious. 2001 is still using stop-motion photography and matte painting to give the illusion of movement
