Whip It might be one of the years most underrated or under appreciated movies of the year. It didn’t do that spectacular in the theaters and I am not really sure why. It could be one of those movies that does huge DVD volume though in rentals and sales, I would not be surprised at all to see that happen. Whip It is about a young teenager from Texas named Bliss. After being pushed to compete in beauty pageants too many times by her parents, Bliss decides to an all-female roller derby team instead. I know, doesn’t sound too interesting but trust me, it is great.
