I want it to be playable on windows media player. I want to be able to add music, text, photos and also include my ultrasound dvd i have. My plan is to send this to family and friends.

Scratch
is a visual programming environment, that enables you to create interactive multimedia presentations, games and other applets that run in a web browser (Java). Scratch does not require you to learn any scripting language, you can drag and drop actions, conditions, sounds and other elements into the scrip window and arrange them like building blocks. You can share your finished project via the Scratch web site and also embed it in your own HTML code (with some efforts).

If you want some real nice free stuff, look at ‘Scrapbook Flair’
Make all kinds of great photo albums, with text, pic frames, tons of effects.
Make the album just like you want, then for each page you’ve made, do a ‘print screen’> save into a folder> crop away the non-page stuff> re-save.
Now you have items you can view, save to disk, put in a slideshow for off line viewing, printing; almost anything.
And you can have free webspace to show the album, to friends (private viewing) or the public…all free.
No pop-up ads, spyware, junk, etc.
Very easy to use. I’m sure you’d like this.
Runs on a browser, so very fluid & flexible, cross platform, etc.
