I’m watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on ABC, Did somebody else notice the small mistake?
Question by jose r: I’m watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on ABC, Did somebody else notice the small mistake?
I know its something really small and it was unavoidable because of the year the movie was created was way before the last book, but here is what I saw and tell me if you agree:
In the movie (The first one), The leader of the “Gryffindors” “Quiditch” team is teaching Harry the basics of “Quiditch”. The thing is, the guy (I forgot hes name) grabs the “Quaffles” and the other ball which I also forgot the name of. After that the scene comes where Harry hits the “Quaffle” and yeah. Now, the actual thing is that; when the guy puts the “Quaffle” back in the chest, he actually “Grabs” the “Snitch” then the “Snitch” starts flying around.
So yea, If you read Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows (The 7th Book), you might remember that Dumbledore died already and (SPOILER ALERT!) he left the book to Hermione, the “Deluminator” to Ron and the “Snitch” to Harry which has the stone inside. So they say that the “Snitch” is never touched not even by the creator because the creator uses gloves to make the “Snitch” and nobody touches the “Snitch” until its graved by the seeker during the game cause then, the only one that can open the “Snitch” or make it fly again is the one who catch it just so in case theres a misunderstanding with “Who caught the “Snitch”?!”. So the book says the first one to ever touch the “Snitch” is the seeker when it grabs it and the movie makes the mistake of having the guy touching it which is not supposed to happen. Am I right or am I right?

YES! I was just watching that and thinking the same thing! That kind of bugged me, but you’re right, with the year it’s made in they wouldn’t have noticed it.
