Question by Mike Smith: In macbeth scripts what are actions called?
When raeding macbeth (or any play) scripts, there are parts written in italics that say something like “Exuent Macbeth”. What are those called? I have no idea but I think I heard someone call them a play directory but im pretty sure thats wrong.

You are referring to “stage directions”. They indicate blocking (actions) that are probably necessary to the sense of the play.
ps. “Exeunt” refers to more than one person leaving the stage. If it were just Macbeth, the stage direction would read “Exit”.
