Ski season warmup! Screening of the new Warren Miller movie (“Children of Winter”) waaaaay up on the UWS

Warren Miller movies are usually great – sometimes like the This American Life of the ski scene. This one had some clips from a dude that rides big mountain switch, coverage of a horse-pulled ski obstacle course down the main street Leadville, CO and a random mountain bike montage (rad).

Buuuutttut this one was narrated by Johnny Moseley (and not Warren Miller. eh) and a 15 min segment featuring Jason Biggs and Guster snowboarding in Vermont (for reals! Barf.).

Second half of the movie makes you wonder why you suck and don’t go live on a boat in Iceland and make daily ski trips out of local hikes. Or at least don’t move out to Crested Butte for the winter. (NYC sux!) Anyone want to come with?
