Is 87 pages good for a movie length film?
Question by Mary S: Is 87 pages good for a movie length film?
I just got done writing a script, and it is 87 pages long, but some pages are going to be more than a minute long.
I know that 1 page=1 minute. I just want to know if I am going to have a problem with the page length when trying to sell it. I know that it is going to be around 90 minutes I have 12,000 words. PLEAZ HELP

I think 120 pages is the norm. That way it could be edited down more, if need be. If it’s too short, and still needs edited, then it wouldn’t be long enough for a feature-lentgh. but i’m no expert. If the story is strong enough at 87 pages, that would certainly be enough to sell the script, even if they wanted you to make it longer. You could also give leeway to the director to add a few touches to the script to lengthen it. So you’re at a great starting point. good luck 🙂
