My family doesn’t do much together. I’m one of the daughters, I’m Shelby. I’m 13 and my sister is 11 and my brother is 9, almost 10. My mom stays in bed all day and my dad works all day. I’ve been trying to bring the family more together; and I’ve failed before. But tonight I called my mom about this idea:

The idea is that each week there’ll be a ‘magazine’ on the kitchen table. I’ll be the maker of the magazine because 1) i’m into doing stuff like that 2) i love making things 3) It was my idea..and my mom said I could, haha. Okay so in the magazine, there’ll be a calendar, a page for the grocery list, reminders, fun craft, exercise, movie, etc. ideas, events coming up, weekly to do list, and anything related to our family.

And anytime we need to reference it, it’ll be right there.

There’ll be a night like Movie Night, Game Night, Talent Night, Foreign Night..Craft Night..Exercise Night, etc. for every night. We don’t see eachother barely during the day so we need atleast 30 min-1 hr a night to do something together that’s fun and memorable.

Do you think this is a good idea? 🙂

and i would like to add- before any people get all mad at my mom or anything- she has lupus and is sick a lot. so that’s part of the reason why. i don’t wanna sound like i’m being mean to her, lol.
