so i have an idea to make money off movies, i am not selling them but rather promoting them. What i will be doing is posting the movies on a blog and get a few cents from every complete stream.

Yes, if you do not own the rights it is illegal. You must get permission to post them, then if you want to make money off of it, you must buy the rights. I am a filmmaker, we have the same kind of thing in our industry.
