Is Parseltongue from the movie learn-able?
Question by : Is Parseltongue from the movie learn-able?
There are many sites dedicated to learning fictional languages that have been developed for movies such as in Avatar with the language of the Na’vi or the elven languages of the Lord of the Rings. They must have had some rhyme or reason to how parseltongue was spoken in the Harry Potter movies, though I don’t expect them to have the whole language thought out. Is there any list of official basic sounds that make up the language or something? anything other than the few words that are spoken in the series?
I don’t appreciate the comments about ‘knowing that snakes don’t really speak it.’ Of course I know that snakes don’t really speak Parseltongue, I just wanted to look into it for curiosity’s sake. As a kind of nerdy thing to do. Why would anyone learn elvish from Lord of the Rings, or Na’vi from Avatar, then? They they expect to find actual elves or actual Na’vi to speak the languages with? I think not. So if you don’t have any real intel to contribute, I suggest you go park yourselves in a basilisk’s behind.

Yes, there are translators and manuals for that sort of thing… though it generally involves just a lot of hissing
