Kani on Athol Fugard

Although the prolific playwriter is not at this years festival, Athol Fugard still seems to be making waves. From plays such as Sizwe Banzi is Dead to more recent success in the form of an Oscar-winning performance by Tsotsi, Athol Fugard is one of South Africa’s most famous and loved writers. CueTV caught up with his close friends, John Kani who is the lead actor and co-writer in Sizwe Banzi is Dead and Festival Chairperson Mannie Manim to find out a little more about who Athol Fugard really is.
