Make Money With an Entertainment Website

Copyright (c) 2008 Bill Broich

Making money off an entertainment website can be a very tough thing to do when you have zero experience. I hate to sound pessimistic, but unless you spend a year studying it or luck out and find a mentor to guide you through you have about a ninety-nine percentage chance of failure. I know it sounds terrible, but that’s the reality.

However, here is some advice to increase your odds of making money. First piece of advice. Don’t get creative. By that I mean, don’t try to reinvent the wheel. If you have a lot of money, a lot of resources, then by all means reinvent the wheel, but if you’re a little guy there is a very precise way to break into the entertainment niche and you do not want to vary from that. Now that doesn’t mean you don’t brand yourself uniquely, you do, but you need to have the basic

mechanics for a successful website in place in order to make money.

Here are just a few:

Traffic trading: You absolutely have to trade traffic with other entertainment webmasters. There is no way around this. When you’re starting you’re not going to get the best traffic partners. That’s okay, you’re just starting. Eventually you’ll be build traffic and move up the food chain. You will trade traffic with hard links, traffic trading scripts and link dumps. To find traffic partners search for adult webmaster communities and you’ll see these forums have traffic trading sections. This is how you will get the most traffic which will earn you the majority of your revenue. Fresh Content: You need to update your site everyday. This means at least 2-5 new videos and pictures per day. People start to rely on your site for daily content and you must deliver it to

them. You can take weekends off if you please, but you must update at least five days a week.

Good Monetization: Properly monetizing your entertainment website is a key to success. You need multiple forms of income. Here they are:

a) Paid Link Dumps: Once you build your traffic up you can start selling plugs. These are links you can sell to other people’s media. Expect to earn -100 per plug.
b) CPM network: This is impression advertising. You’ll earn x amount per thousand page views.
c) PPC: Google or Yahoo ads work great.
d) Filler: This can be CPA (cost per action). A good source are dating sites like ClickBooth. You can also find random affiliate programs to join like Clickbank or ShareASale.

Those are just a few tips for finding success as an entertainment webmaster.
