Okay, so i am making a movie for this project thing and I want to have a song in the background or any sort of copy-righted music… where would I go to get the permission for that (I am willing to pay).
And also someone told me you can play 30 seconds of a copy-righted work without having to get permission if you give credit for it, is this true and if so can you send a link to somewhere online that would tell me that?

Dude you need to specify is this for school if so then you don’t need permission. But if your going to make a project for TV or something that involves a lot of people seeing it then yes you do need permission and yes that 30 second of the song is right. Sorry i don’t know where you can get permission.
