Movie making software?

I need to create a software training video series for a new software package that my company has recently purchased.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good program that can has screen capturing ability(better than cam studio) and default templates where I can make it look more like an actual piece of training software opposed to a sluggish DVD menu look.

i would try windows movie maker if you want a free thing. If moneys no object, the best is vegas pro 9.0. its the best editing program to date.
