What is a trailer? Trailer gives you an idea of what a movie is all about. They are created for advertising purpose. It includes series of scenes from the film. It does not necessarily have to be in order as it appears on the actual movie.
Usually a trailer draws the most exciting part of the film. It would normally last for about two and a half minutes or less. There are some particular films that exceed the time limit once a year, if it is necessary. It is said the very first trailer ever shown in U.S theaters was on November 1913 and this is for the musical movie “The Pleasure Seekers.” Other trailer uses a “special footage” which is only intended for advertising. Now, let’s define what a movie teaser is. Teaser, like trailer is also used as an advertisement of an upcoming movie. Teaser is shorter than trailer. It would normally last for 30 to 60 seconds. Teasers will be released long before the actual movie they are advertising will be shown.
