Revolutionary! Nintendo and Argonaut co-developed a special chip that would be packed inside each cart, that would allow 3D polygon graphics, the SFX. This revolutionary concept proved quite effective, has Starfox (Starwing in Europe, due to legal copyright conflicts) was received with huge acclaim by critics and estimed love from the new Nintendo IP. And laucnhed the SFX chip to makevideogame history on the Super Nintendo. Remember, may not look much by todays standards, but by 1993, the word was “unique”. I loved it back then, and I love it still today. Good to see the series still going strong, having I received today the latest Starfox Command for the DS, I can only dream of a true Lylat Wars sequel on the Wii, with perfect Wiimote controls and online play. Some times, dreams do come true, you know?
