Q&A: Any Good DVD Rippers Out There?

Question by Sid S: Any Good DVD Rippers Out There?
I’m seeking software to rip a DVD and make a movie (want to do a Downfall Parody) – I’m looking for something good in the $ 40 range. I don’t want to shell out $ 80-$ 100 for Roxio or Nero, since I won’t use this much. The free ones kill the resolution. And I don’t the the three or four that top every Google search. Either they kill the resolution, the interfaces are clunky, or both. Any suggestions?

DVDVideosoft’s DVD decrypter is a very good DVD ripper. Even though it’s free, it doesn’t kill the resolution and it doesn’t have any sort of watermark. It’s bug free and I’ve used it to rip 7 movies alreay without any fault.
