In many movies like harry potter, chocolate etc etc we’ve seen fake cities/houses/buildings/roads etc are made.As you always need a civil engineer to build things,I was wondering if a civil engineer can pursue his/her career in movie making.What category their names come(when naming the crew at the end of the movie) and how the movie-civeng bussiness is(the salary/easy to find a job?)If you have any information or experience in this case please post an answer.Cheers!

For set building you don’t need a civil engineer per se. You can get away with a good carpenter. Most everything is just a wooden frame with different coatings, or lately they are computer-generated models. Chances of you getting a job in movies with a civ. eng degree are not much better than a blue-collar carpenter.
