I’m Lisa Hunnigton and I’m looking forward to going to Philips Exeter this summer.
I attended Philips Exeter summer school last year and I really loved it there, though I was quite uncomfortable when I fist arrived, I got used to it later, made many friends and it started to feel like home, I loved Exeter so much that I didn’t want to return to my home town later when the course ended.
I’m currently attending school in Newyork, I’ve also attended fair fax county public at summer, I enjoyed it so much, but my 4 weeks at Exeter was much better!
My mom really encouraged me to go into as much activities as possible, I’ve taken tennis, Baseball, swimming, horseback riding, piano, guitar, ballet and art classes , I’m really interested in art, I’ve been taking art classes for the past 6 years, I’ve learned many techniques, I even made my own art courses, I have a wonderful teacher that encourages me to put my imagination on paper, even when sometimes I end up with crazy ideas, I’m also very interested in writing I took writing courses at Exeter last summer and it really helped me a lot , I’m currently writing my own novel, my friends and teachers are helping me with it , supporting me and giving me lots of new ideas, someday I hope to publish it.
Lately I’ve been interested in movie making; I took some lessons with Hilary Graham, I’ve managed to make my own short film about a young thief and posted it on you tube, the movies setting took place at Philips Exeter near the library.

In my life I’ve came across with many people with different traditions and cultures, I think it’s really important to learn about other peoples cultures, because if I don’t understand their cultures, how could I ever understand mine?

From all the important person who interest me with their way of thinking, my grand dad is the most person who influenced me in my life, he changed the way I think, he showed me that knowledge is the most important thing in one’s life, he also helps a lot of people through his writing, I really treasure every minute I spent with him he always finds a way to solve most of my problems, sometimes even by connecting them to some historical figures, he also showed me that anyone can make a difference if they want to.

I really want to attend Exeter this year, because I really want to try some other courses that I weren’t able to attend last year, I also want to take the guitar lessons again because it was so much fun and I didn’t get a chance to complete it, but mostly I want to attend Exeter again this year because I just loved the whole experience last year, I really hope in if I get accepted to meet new people, make lots of new friends, and also benefiting from all the new things and ideas that I’ll hopefully learn.

i think there is a mistake in last words of 2nd line ……..I really loved it there…..
