I am doing a speech on ‘Identity’ and have to use the film ‘Edward Scissorhands’ as one of my supporting evidence. I need to know which techniques were used like costuming or camera shots, which helped create edward scissorhands identity and make him so different.

Well there was his quiet, shy characterization.

Obviously, the whole scissors-for-hands, weird clothes/hair thing.

And he was generally just a social outcast, which combined with his sweet and caring nature categorized him as a character.
