I want to create a youtube video, and i want to use video from DVDs that i own, so what can i use in order to capture what’s being shown on my PC screen? Is that possible? And if so, does anyone know what software i can use?

You mean to rip something off dvd to go on your laptop, just google ‘DVD ripper’ and it will offer you lots of different options, I would go with ‘Magic DVD Ripper’ because it also converts your files, because you need to convert them into ‘WMV’ files in order to use them for windows movie maker. Then, go on windows movie maker and click ‘Import’ to add movie, sound or pictures and then edit them anyway you like!
