Question by Minghag: How do you get music cleared so you can have it in your movie?
I’m making an independent film and want to use some music in my movie, but don’t wnat to get suid if I use someone elses music in my movie. How do I get permission to use there music? Do I have to pay money, or do I just need permission, if I need just permission where would I go to get the permission? Could I just write them a letter? What if I don’t sell my movie, and just give it to my friends and family then can I use the music I want without permission, or do I still need permission?
