Question by Melissa: I purchased a computer online, i need to know if it’s a good deal or if it should be returned.?
I am about to start school, i’m going to be a nurse, and i need someone that is even slightly tech savvy to let me know if this will work for me or not… I only use a computer for basic things, e-mail…facebook…google…shopping…research…writing papers…watching dvds and online videos, so it this a good deal for the price and what i need or should i return it?

Nope, that laptop looks about right for your needs. As well, don’t bother with a memory upgrade, with the 2gb it comes with you’ll have More then enough unless you intend to play games or do Very heavy photoshop work.
Aprox value of that laptop, don’t pay more then 600$
That said, you’d be better off getting a Netbook (subnotebook) something with a 12″ screen or smaller, you need portability and the one you are looking at weigh a hefty 6.3, might not seem like much but you’ve got to carry it with the charger as well and all your books, it adds up. You can get a netbook with better specs for a lower price, which is better suited for your needs, for as low as 300$ (Though something in the 400-500 range would be better)
