Question by bigbaddave2001: Is it ok to use a movie stars picture on a web site without their permission?
I have someone making a web site and he came up with the idea of using movie stars pictures instead of the actual employees that work for the company with the idea that they are the “superstars” of the company. I question as to whether this isn’t some form of copyright infringement, or is it ok to just copy and paste someone else’s photo without their permission?

You’re right. Movie stars’ images are copyrighted, and although it’s possible you might never hear anything from the copyright holder, it *is* a violation of copyright law to use them. I’m sure that’s not the image of your company that you want to promote to the public.
