Yes there are but keep in mind that they get very demanding pretty fast. You need a fast processor, plentyyyyyyyyyyy of hard drive space, a lot of RAM. From then on, it is just a matter of howmuch money you want to spend versus what kind of functionality do you want.

Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 is one of the best ones out there if you have $ 850 to spend on it.

Otherwise, I suggest that you go to www.download.com and type in movie editor and just try out different things before you buy anything.
