i love acting and i really want to study acting but since it is a bit difficult to make it in the business and becoz i love movies,i would also like to study the same time film-making(writing,directing etc.) Is there a university somewhere where such a course exists combining both or simillar studies?or is there somewhere i can study both? i really want to study acting and something else related to the film industry. suggestions appreciated and will help me applying for universities!! Thanx for taking the time:)
I should emphasise that what interests me more is Acting

If you can find a course that teaches directors how to direct actors, that’s pretty close to what you’re looking for. In fact, look for Linda Seger’s book, “Directing Actors.” It combines the teaching of directing techniques with what it is that actors do, so that the directors can better understand where the actors are coming from during the blocking and shooting of the scenes. Does this make sense…?
By the way, check out the Creative Media Institute at New Mexico State University. Not only is New Mexico experiencing a huge upsurge in moviemaking, but NMSU has made great strides in starting a very effective film school. Their website: cmi.nmsu.edu
