Q&A: Just watched “Poseidon,” can you really escape a ship this way?
Question by Ashie: Just watched “Poseidon,” can you really escape a ship this way?
I’m not a genius when it comes to ships & their architecture. In the movie, the ship is hit by a rogue wave and flipped upside down. They make their way upwards through elevator shafts and air vents, and plan to go out through the propellor shafts. In a real life scenario, could this really work? Just curious 😀
Thanks.

if the water was calm after the rouge wave maybe depending how much water is being taken in and the health of the people on it , but they would be panicking and useing alot of air . It would more than likely only work on T.V. , I was on a large ship and we ran aground and everyone ran on one side of the ship and we almost flipped over from the panic .
