Question by i totally agree with you!! not: question for geniuses only?
How do i get my videos from my camcorder onto the computer?i just bought a camcorder because i wanted to shoout footage and make movies (i’m 15, not some pro)this is the camera i got:

i have everything in came with and miniDV tapes.
please help, this camera does me no good if i can’t get the videos i shoot onto windows movie maker. i hooked the cable up but nothing happened. the users manual only says how to transfer pictures to the computer. i think i need a card. can i transfer stuff if i use a tape?thanks!!!!

Yeah I think you probably need a memory card to transfer it to directory to your computer.

You can use software to convert from miniDV to DVD though. Here’s some links I found, or search yourself using keyword “miniDV to avi” or “miniDV to DVD.
