So I am in 10th grade and in my AP English/Religion class my teacher assigned us to watch the movie Seven Pounds. Im at the part where Emily is in the hospital and Ben is telling here a story. I am so confused. What does this movie have to do with the seven sins? What is Ben trying to do with all these strangers? What is Bens brothers issue? Who is the girl from all the flashbacks? I am so lost!!!!! This movie makes no sense to me. Please explain this movie to me.

Basically he is finding someone that needs all the different things that he can provide before he kills himself,for example, the man that can’t see due to problems but will be able to see if he gets what he needs from someone.And Emily,I think she needs a heart so that will be available when he dies.
It’s basically about him trying to find people in need and providing them with the necessary things that wouldn’t be available on a daily basis.He lost his wife in an accident and he doesnt feel like living so he decides to do as many good deeds as possible before he does the bad one.The woman being abused, he wanted her to know that there is something better beyond being abused and having her children seeing it,so he gives his house to her so that she could start over with something new and provide a better life for her kids.
