When I hit the ‘make movie’ button on my sony vegas it only saves 1 second of it. I want to upload it to youtube but it won’t save the whole thing, please help!

i think you have changed the rendering area to 1 first second. park the cursor on the begin of your time line then zoom out (so you can see the whole time line with all the events inside, use zoom tool) now hold shift button and click on the far right side of time line(not on the events). now you should see that your time line has been high lighted (light blue) you should see 2 small yellow triangle on top of your time line drag them to left and right to set the exact rendering area.
