Q&A: this is a reach for help?
Question by Jon: this is a reach for help?
My name is Jon and I’m almost 18 years old.
I made the mistake of dumping the woman i love. We dated for 2 years and i was sure she was the one. We made each other so happy… until now. I cant talk to her without her getting annoyed or yelling at me. She has recently told me “I’m happier without you jon…” … Shes smoking weed constantly and flirting with other guys, and chasing guys. EVERY DAY is a struggle. I cant distract myself enough to forget the memories we shared. And i cant keep myself from not texting her.
Now, there is this other girl- who has had a crush on me for YEARS. I feel bad for her, and i wish i liked her more than i do. She recently told me she loves me and that im the best thing to happen to her.
To add on to it, i like to act in movies. My grades in high school blow so im going to end up in a community college if i go. My best friend makes movies with me, and he got accepted to a real college.
Ive gone to so many people for support but all i get is “move on. get over it.” that doesnt HELP me in any way. You dont think i know that i should move on?
I just dont know what to do. I always find myself crying – mostly because of my ex. Im so sad lately and im tired of it.
Sincerely,
Jon

Your ex wasn’t the one for you. If she’s smoking weed, flirting with other guys, and bringing you down then you’re better off without her. Unless you did something to make her feel that way (ignoring her/not spending time with her) there’s nothing you can do. Find a girl you have strong feelings for. Talk to a therapist about your feelings
