If i have a movie on my computer and i wanted to use clips from it in a video that im making in windows movie maker, how would i get just the clips i want? do i have to insert the whole movie and edit it or what?

you would have to edit the movie and get the bits you want out..then you would have to convert the files in to a usable format, like wmv.
