Q&A: We have to make our own magazine, what should mine be about?

Question by XxX..???..XxX: We have to make our own magazine, what should mine be about?
I dont really want to do mine about fashion, makeup, gossip or movies. I was thinking about doing mine about news and stuff like the Times magazine but there isnt really anything that interesting I could write about thats happening in the news lately.(thats sort of like my last resort)

And if you guys could think of good names while your at it, it would be helpful. I like the name mode but i got that from ugly betty lol and i dont really wanna copy.

If you want to write about news but nothing interests you in the national news, what about your local news or even school news? Not like a newsletter – set it out like a real news magazine with snappy articles, interviews with individuals and good quality photographs.

You could feature your school sports team in the sports section, have interviews with the players and ask fans for their opinions. Ask the Home Economics dept for food advice, recipes. Get someone to write horoscopes for you and have a ‘gossip’ column about what is happening in school. Write reports professionally on important issues that the school is dealing with at the moment and invite teachers, parents or friends to give their comments.
