Q&A: What goes into movie credits and how are they listed?
Question by Jack: What goes into movie credits and how are they listed?
I’m making a movie to enter in a competition and want to know what I need to put in the credits. It’s just a short one about Lombok in Indonesia. I filmed most of it but my Dad filmed one part. Can you help please?
I forgot to put that this is kind of a documentary not a movie with characters.

start out with the director, writer, and producer.
then go with the cast. you can put them in alphabetical order, order of appearance, or order importance. its your choice.
then, if you had any help with the movie, say who helped you, with what and how.
if you had to go to a special place, say a park, name the park.
if you used any special things, like lighting, sound, etc, credit them too.
if you used any editing software, name them.
any technical materials. like computers, cameras, etc.
and finally, if you put any music in it. say whats the song and who made it. if you got it out of a CD, say the name, who sings it, who produced it, the album artist, and what year it was released.
i think that pretty much covers it.
just think, if you contributed anything to a movie, even if it is the tiniest little thing, would you like credit for it?
hope i helped.
