Q&A: what is the best way to upload videos for editing in movie editing programs?
Question by Andrew D: what is the best way to upload videos for editing in movie editing programs?
so my question is what is the best way to upload video that is going to be edited as far as professionality my process has been to rip dvds into window media files with a dvd ripper and then import them but ive heard dvd cams suck. so im wondering what is the best way to upload and then be able to saturate the film to make it look less home videoish is it better to use a camera with a memory card and then import it should i use a seperate program for color saturation and then begin editing should i use a cam with tape and connect it to the pc and get it up there that way ive been saturating in my dvd ripper program and then converting the file into a wmv. but i plan on a new pc and camcorder so i need a good recommendation on getting from film into the editing program for getting a good looking final result in film quality also recommendations on pc’s editing software and effects (is there a program with good saturation eq included) sorry for all the questions thanks for any advice
