hi. im looking for opinions. i want to rip my DVDs. i want a good ripper that can get past all the decryptions/copywrite etc. if i use one of the new fancier compression methods i can settle for 1 1/2 to 2 gigs per movie as the ones ive downloaded with the h264 (or etc just an example) seem great quality. i’ve used DVDShrink in the past to copy DVDs but after a while i started encountering problems not being able to get past the copywrite esp on newer DVDs so i stopped. i want to backup my DVDs though some of them cant even be found on the internet in hi quality ripped versions. it would be nice to be able to use new encoding methods and to save as filetypes that itunes can read in case i get an iphone/touch/pad someday i love apples products but use PC with win7. so i’d like to be able to choose good compression methods and filetypes and also have the option to make exact copies should i want to in the future when dual layer dvds get dirt cheap. i want simplicity. im better than the average joe at configuration but i dont want to have to do more than a day’s research to learn to best use it. it doesn’t have to be freewware i dont mind paying for a good product as long as it doesn’t stop working in a year as copy protection adapts.
