Unless you are a professional photographer or at least have professional equipment it’s highly unlikely a magazine or calendar would be interested in your photos. High-quality print like you see in magazines requires a certain photo resolution that your average point-and-shoot camera (or even the “prosumer” dSLRs) aren’t going to produce.
You can try submitting your pictures to stock photo agencies or to the pet photo contests that magazines sometimes run but it’s unlikely you’ll make much money if you make any at all. The photography business is not something you can just roll out of bed one morning and decide to be successful in – it takes practice, networking and a big investment of time and money.
If you are interested in having your dogs do print/commercials/movies/whatever you can try to find an agent in your area that handles animal talent and submit a headshot + resume for your dogs. However, unless you’re in one of the big markets (LA or NYC) it’s unlikely your dogs will find much work, especially if “looking cute” is the extent of their special abilities.
