Run BackTrack 4 with VMWare Player (FREE)
Hi ! This is simple way to use BackTrack Linux on your home PC. As you will see i run Windows XP, but this can be done from Vista and Wind0ws 7 as well. 1. You need VMware Player. With VMware Player, you get full working system, i use VMware Player, because it’s free. BackTrack VMWare image we can open with WM Player and WM Work station, but you can use always final ISO file, like that we are sure that all will work as we want 🙂 (internet, adapters, framework etc.). WMware player download : linux.re.rs (I will update download link for new version, if needed). 2. Download BT-Final ISO file from : www.backtrack-linux.org BackTrack 4 Final Release ISO (or BackTrack 4 R1 Release ISO) Last Update: 11.01.2010 Name:: bt4-final.iso Size: 1570 MB MD5: af139d2a085978618dc53cabc67b9269 and BackTrack 4 R1 Release VMware Image (this is version i use,u can use VMware Image for BT 4 final) Last Update: 08.05.2010 Name:: bt4-r1-vm.tar.bz2 Size: 2500MB MD5: b54a345a0619817c893183908d0957e4 /* This way of use, was tested from BT 3 final version. Just take one 🙂 3. Check MD5 hash with windMD5sum if you want. 4. Install VMware Player () or 🙂 . 5. Watch video ……
