Get your prospect involved in the story – You don’t care about your friends’ vacation because you were stuck working while they were playing! Sales scripts that sell get the prospect involved quickly. For example if you were selling copiers, you could share something like “Before my last client invested in new machines, he would get so frustrated with paper jams he almost threw one out the window. Do paper jams on any of your copiers cause you or your employees’ frustration too?”
Pique Interest With Small Details – A good story teller will keep your interest by carefully revealing details, but not all at once. Just like you don’t want to see 1000 vacation pictures your

prospect doesn’t want to hear about every detail your offering contains (at least not yet). Pique their interest with just a few small details to keep their interest and get them wanting more. If you selling insurance you might get them to reach for more help by sharing something like “Most insurance policies wouldn’t be worth your money, maybe even the ones we offer. Do you think it would help your family to have 1 million worth of coverage for ?” Don’t go into how to qualify, how they payout works, just get them to be interested in more details.
