Sims 3 game and gameplay questions?

I have a few questions about the new game ‘The sims 3’ that had recently came out. If anyone has this game, preferably for the Mac, please answer.

My first question involves movie making on the sims 3, and my computer. I have a Mac, and I am planning on getting sims 3 for the Mac. I would like to make movies on the game, but will they be able to be watched on the Mac? Also, can the movies be edited on imovie and such?

My next question involves Downloading, and Modthesims2.com. Will I be able to download from that website and install it on my game? How would you do this with a Mac?

My final question is a total guess, that I saw from a video. A sims 3 designer was talking about players and how they love to torture and kill their sims. He was also descussing the new ways to kill sims, and he was seeing how people hang and cut themselves. Does anyone know if the sims in sims 3 can hang or cut themselves?

1) There are currently many issues with the sims 3’s capability with the Mac, many players have experience issues installing the game.

2) Modthesims2.com is currently for Sims 2 downloads only and not for Sims 3, however they have made a new website for the sims 3:

3) This is beyond what I have experienced in the game. I apologize since I am unable to guarantee the nature of this question. The game does allow many aspects the older versions lack but certain things are still being discovered.
