Some Tips For Home Movie Making
Some Tips For Home Movie Making
In college I studied both music and production of videos. I really enjoyed both courses, but I always enjoyed video editing much more. Most people don’t know why they enjoy one thing more than another but that was the case with me. Anyway, I did work a little in music but I never did any work in editing video. Although I never worked on editing outside my home, these days equipment is so easy to get that I can edit my personal videos at home and it doesn’t cost much.
Getting your videos professionally edited can be very expensive if you want the best. You will have to pay by the hour and it costs a lot. You can do your own editing at home and it’s not difficult. You will need a computer with a large amount of memory because most of the editing programs, especially for video are quite powerful and need to have that memory available to work correctly. You will also need a good software package for video editing. There are many on the market, just do a search online and you will see. You won’t even need to spend $ 100 to get a very good software to do the job. That’s not much money considering what it will cost you for just one hour’s work with a professional.
Most video editing software is actually quite easy-to-use. I spent many years in college learning to edit video, but you won’t need that experience to use the software. As long as you have good starting clips to use, you will find that with the software, you’ll be able to turn out very good-looking video. Try to make your video look more professional by using the transitions that come in the software. It’s not very difficult and can have a great effect on the overall video.
To keep viewers interested and to help the overall flow of your video, avoid flipping the camera around too fast, pointing in one direction and then in the other can make viewers dizzy. Of course, that works okay for a music videos. Try to keep the lighting the same throughout the whole video. For the average movie, which is like a story, think about what you’re going to try to present before you make the footage, then it will go more smoothly. This will allow you to take all the footage that you need in one go and not have to return later when the lighting is changed.

The movie is notable for being the first made entirely using digital audio techniques. The band raised the budget of .2 million themselves. The title comes from the lyrics of the song “Girlfriend is Better”: “As we get older and stop making sense…”. The film has been hailed by Leonard Maltin as “one of the greatest rock movies ever made.” Shooting of Stop Making Sense spanned three live shows at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles. Demme has stated that one night of shooting was dedicated almost entirely to wide shots from a distance, to minimize the intrusion of cameras on stage. Demme had considered additional shooting on a soundstage made to recreate the Pantages Theater, but the band declined to do this, as they thought the lack of audience response would have hindered the energy of their performance. This shooting practice has led to a number of interesting continuity errors, including Tina Weymouth’s bass changing from a blue five-string to a brown Hofner between shots, and a beach ball thrown toward stage that is …
