Stargate Atlantis movie query?

Question by pkrsnakexrs: Stargate Atlantis movie query?
I was aware that the makers of Atlantis were planning or actually in the process of making a movie to follow on from the series but I cant seem to find anything about it. The stuff I have looked up is conflicting. Some says its been released and others say it’s been postponed or canceled. Can anyone shed any light on this please. thanx

It’s on indefinite hold.
The script is finished (and has been for along time now) but no further production has begun.
The reasons given were the depressed DVD market and that MGM is (was?) up for sale. Also, the sets have been taken down a while ago, which makes a movie more unlikely.

And, while not about the SGA movie, Michael Shanks said that another SG-1 movie might not happen. I think, his comment can also be applied to the SGA movie.
