It was a good movie, especially for me as Ive always had this wild theory out of the blue that what people perceive as gods are really aliens. Seems more logical that they are more advanced beings that live somewhere in space then magical powers and different dimensions like Heaven and Hell. Plus Ive always heard scholars cant understand why different ancient cultures from around the world who had no communication with each other had things like pyramids and stuff. Regardless I was curious as to how true it was. I figured had those clips been completely legit people would be talking more and it would be a big deal. According to Wikipedia the movie was all a fraud that even made up newsletters. So basically they lied to make the movie seem more epic and in the process make more box office sales. We all know wikipedia isnt the most trustworthy source but its generally a good starter for finding info. Ne one wanna help confirm that the video and audio clips in the movie were just a ploy and that its not based on a true story? Im especially curious about the audio tapes during the credits, those are what really had me going.
Im a pretty rational person and was skeptical but the movie just drew me in, i always thought the video footage didnt seem quite authentic though. Glad to know. They should get sued for claiming everything was real and it was based on a real story. Still a good movie but its too gimmicky.

Ummm….. it’s Hollywood, man. Entertainment. In other words, fake. Just like Paranormal Activity.
