Twitter 365 Project – day forty five

Valentine’d
Expecting to wake up with a pineapple next to me from the night before, the morning started off slowly. I arose at 9AM after a moderately bad attempt at sleep and found myself having to review Twitter to figure out what I had done the night before. I spent the morning in bed watching movies as every single bone and muscle in my body was screaming out in pain. It had felt like I spent the night making love to a pile of rocks in a washing machine.
Hunger pains started to set in later in the day as @asimpleparadox tweeted an open invitation for boob consumption. For those who aren’t aware, the "boobs" in this post refer to steamed pork buns. An hour or so later @cuzza, @asimpleparadox and I were chowing down dim sum in the city. Much delicious times were had.
Afterwards we headed back to @cuzza‘s place for a couple of card games and to watch the premiere of Dollhouse, the new Joss Whedon show starring Eliza Dushku. I was very excited about this being a huge fan of his TV shows, moves and comic books. Over the past few months I purposely avoided anything to do with Dollhouse so I had absolutely no idea what the show was about. Expecting great things, I cozied up on the couch and let the magic began.
Unfortunately it was crap.
Now, I always like to give the piot of a TV show some slack. There are always script re-writes, character amendments and general changes that usually make the first episode average. But this episode really did stink. As usual, I give new TV shows a 3 episode run before I make my final decision. I sincerely hope things get better.
The evening arrived and we all ventured back into the city for dinner. @miori and @bensong were having a get-together at Tiger Tiger to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a bunch of Twitterers and normies (non-Twitter folk).
After a beer and a coffee we decided to head off to Northbridge to actually consume the dinner part of our dinner. Chinatown was the final choice for food – I think we went to the City Garden restaurant although I’m not 100% sure about that given my brain was still fried from the night before and I had only 3 hours of sleep since Friday morning.
We finished off dinner sometime past midnight and I jumped into a cab and headed home.
The food was absolutely delicious and so was the company.
Great day out 🙂
View On Black – looks betterer! 😉

The race to remake mountain
They’re calling 2009 the Year of the Remake, and it seems as if 2010 will also be the Year of the Remake, as will 2011. I’m afraid to check further ahead: it’s possible that, with the way things are going, Hollywood has decided to do little else.
