Understanding the Panasonic Lumix FZ150, Part 2, the “P” mode ( program auto exposure)
Unleashing more creativity within the camera by using the “P” mode. Using this mode allows direct access to parameters which help in creating great images. By using the various metering modes we can accurately expose our image and by using program shift we can utilise this feature to allow us to selct the right aperture setting, or shuuter speed for the particular iamge to bre taken. By using bracketing exposure methods we can hav an insurance backup if we are capturing a fleeting moment and we want to ensure we have a perfect exposure. We can also use this exposure series to create a HDR ( high dynamic range) image from the highlights and shadows of the image set. This overcomes some of the limitations of the lack of dynamic range of the 1-2/3 inch sensor size. With practical illustrations of the effects of changing the parameters of the exposure you will be begin to see the potential this camera has to be a real winner.
