Video Editing Software anyone?

so i have windows vista, and i make youtube videos.
i usually use windows movie maker, but it’s not good enough.
i want one that can change my voice only (without speeding everything else up, kinda like fred’s videos)
and i want lots of cool effects. it has to be pretty simple to use, because i’m not so much of a computer nerd.
so basically what i’m looking for is a video editor that you can either download free (legally), or buy at a store, i don’t like buying things online, so one at a store would help. also reasonably priced, not $ 100…
and it has to be easy! and if possible, can you find me a free trial of one so i can see what it’s like, before i buy it?
and i would like one with lots and lots of cool effects, and can alternate my voice around, but not speed everything else up.
