Video Making software for WINDOWS?

Question by Ashleigh: Video Making software for WINDOWS?
I need a video making software for WINDOWS. People kept giving me answers that were either for Mac or Vista and i dont have either of those, like Imovie and final cut pro. I already have windows movie maker and the movies dont save so i need something else. Ive already tried ulead, power directer and sony vegas. Is there anything else?

what is your version of windows thats be helpful
if you are using 9X or millenium or NT4.0 or 2000 these are harder to find correct programs to run on them
