what are some good movie making progams for windows?

Question by Kacey: what are some good movie making progams for windows?
i used to have a MAC and used to use iMovie, and i loved it. now i have windows 7 and i need a new movie making progam? i’ve tried Movie Maker, and i don’t like it. anything like iMovie for windows would be great! Any suggestions??

I use the Adobe Creative Suite for movie making. I use After Effects and Photoshop for graphical and other digital effects, Premiere Pro for cutting, and Encore for DVD creation.

CS is a bit on the expensive side and geared toward professionals. It will definitely give you everything you need, but the learning curve can be a bit steep.
