What is a fair deal for hiring a screenwriter to write my screenplay?

Question by italyy06: What is a fair deal for hiring a screenwriter to write my screenplay?
For a script I want to be written I have the Original Idea and Plot all layed out. I have the story from Act 1 to Act 3 how it begins and ends.
Now I need the help of a writer ( one who has successfully written and sold a screenplay ) to help work on the structure , dialogue , character , conflicts , goals, motives, theme, and all the other elements involved. and edit and the details of the plot to make it a great script that producers would like to make.
How much would it cost? or …
(the way id rather do)
what would be a fair deal like . say we worked together and sold it what would be the fair percentage like. .. 50 / 50? or 75 for him and 25 for me since he will be doing most of the work?
Anyone with experience please help answer both questions..
Thanks in Advance
I have a writer interested in my idea and plot.( hes written 8 films that were produced ) Feature Film. he wants 20 up front. what do you think is a fair arrangement?

I doubt very much whether a screenwriter who is already selling his own work will have any interest at all in yours.
How much will it cost? Well, what’s the average professional wage where you live?
